Visiting Brooklyn’s Chinatown

IMG_4980

As part of a long-standing tradition, 12th grade Chinese students visited the Bamboo Garden Restaurant on 64th Street in Brooklyn’s Chinatown for a final banquet. They ate a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, including some dishes most had never tried or maybe even seen before like cow stomach, chicken intestine, and chicken feet. After the meal they proceeded to the Fei Long Supermarket where they spent the rest of the afternoon browsing Chinese delicacies. They walked around 8th Ave. where Chinese people shop, eat, hangout, and live. All in all, it was a wonderful farewell celebration.
