Financial Aid

Financial Aid is awarded on the basis of financial need, and is distributed as equitably as possible based on an analysis of each family’s income, assets, and other relevant financial criteria. Applications for financial aid are evaluated annually by the School, and aid awards are reviewed and approved by the Financial Aid Committee of the Board of Trustees.

  • Families applying for initial admission to the School must submit their admission application forms by the stated deadline and indicate their intention to apply for aid by answering “yes” to the question “Are you applying for financial aid?” Those financial aid applications are due by December 15th. Please read below for financial aid application instructions.
  • The school requires that each applicant complete an application using the School Scholarship Service (SSS) form of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). The SSS form is available in late October on the website; click the link for families. The school has automatic access to the application once it is completed, and any issues or questions that arise during the application process can be addressed by the Finance Office. Should you have any additional questions directly related to the financial aid application, please feel free to contact the Finance Office at 718-522-1660, extension 214.

Please Note
If a student is accepted to Saint Ann’s without having applied for financial aid during the initial application, the family will not ordinarily be eligible to apply for aid within the first three years of the student’s enrollment. Exceptions may be made in the event that a significant change in a family’s available income/assets can be demonstrated. This policy helps to ensure that the school can plan responsibly for the allocation of financial aid funds. If the application fee puts a strain on your family’s finances, please contact the Office of Admission at 718-522-1660 ext. 313.
