Sixth grade science classes designed Pinewood Derby cars and raced them down a 40-foot track in the Bosworth Building dining room on May 7 in an annual event started in 2011 by Henry Kandel and Jon Benadiba. For weeks, students considered issues like axle friction, weight distribution, and aerodynamics. The cars looked spectacular and performed impressively! This event has become a spring tradition in recent years, in the spirit of the famous egg-drop experiments.
