Students in Marcia Hillis’ painting class were invited by Saint Ann’s parent Janno Lieber to visit the galleries and artist-in-residence studios at 4WTC. Two artists with studios on the 68th floor were present to discuss their work with the students. The curated site-specific show of popular contemporary street artists has not yet been opened to the public, so Saint Ann’s students were honored with the first viewing. They were then provided with lunch and invited to paint a hundred-foot mural on walls on the 70th floor. Our students displayed their creativity, ingenuity, and a powerful collaborative spirit to complete their energetic work of art. And, as always, they impressed their hosts with their kindness, curiosity, and sophistication.
