Students taking Japanese language participated in a Haiku contest organized by the Northeast Council of Teachers of Japanese and United Nations International School (UNIS). In 2020 Miles M. (12th grade) and Aaron B.’20 received honorable mentions for their entries. In 2021 Julia S. (10th grade) received second prize, Max S. (9th grade) received third prize and honorable mentions went to Alex C. (12th grade), Mario M. (12th grade), Lea S-G. (11th grade), and Charlotte S. (11th grade) for their poems.
