Twenty-two high school students, faculty from many departments, two members of the administration, one retired division head, and a school nurse—along with the three librarians and a bunch of elated fifth graders—came together on Friday, May 8 in a truly cross-divisional and multi-generational event. It was the annual Harry Potter evening, during which the library was magically transformed and students from the fifth-grade library elective were sorted into houses, instructed in the various wizarding disciplines, and survived a magical epidemic. Much wisdom was gained and a spellbinding time was had by all.
