UPDATE: Better Nate Than Ever won some awards at the American Library Association’s Youth Media Awards ceremony this morning! It got an honor for the Stonewall Book Award (books relating to LGBT experiences) and an honor for Odyssey Award (best audiobooks). The actual Newbery Medal went to Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo, a book our Mock Newbery Committee had considered and enjoyed but did not vote for in the end.
