Harry Potter Sleepover in the Library

On Friday, March 6, nearly sixty fifth-graders filled the library for a night of magic and mysticism. It was the annual Harry Potter Sleepover, in which students in the fifth-grade library elective were sorted into houses, attended potions class, had their fortunes told, and slept—a little. During the activities, luminaries from the wizarding world stopped in to visit; they included Albus Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid, and Madame Pomfrey. The Malfoys and Dolores Umbridge were spotted as well…but no party is perfect. The event, run by the library, could not have happened without the assistance of magical faculty and student volunteers (high school and middle school students assisted as fortune tellers, prefects, lab assistants, story-tellers, and more).
