Celebrating Lunar New Year

Happy New Year! The Year of the Tiger began on February 1 with the celebration of Lunar New Year. Tigers are courageous, passionate and hardworking. This year, several departments and divisions joined middle and high school Chinese language students and teachers to take part in the celebration of Lunar New Year. Art teachers, puppetry teachers, lower schoolers, and Japanese and French language teachers all did something to celebrate the Tiger. After two years of the pandemic, we were all so excited that we could be in school in person to celebrate this most important Chinese festival together. Each student received a red envelope from their teacher. We also did calligraphy and paper cutting, sang Chinese songs, tasted Chinese snacks and candies, and wished each other a happy, prosperous and healthy Year of the Tiger. Cheers to the Tiger!
